Today I am thankful for the job I have as a developmental therapist for Early Intervention. Working with toddlers one-on-one has been a dream come true. There's not too many jobs out there that you get paid to 'play' which is basically what I do. Of course, there's more to it or I wouldn't be called a specialist:)
What are the best things about my job? The first one is that the hours are flexible so I have time to spend with my kids and husband. The second, and maybe best part, is seeing a child do or say something for the first time. I've been brought to tears many times at a session, overwhelmed with emotion because a mom has heard their child say 'mama' for the first time or crawled or taken steps. I'm very blessed to be a part of that moment in so many families.
