Day 17 of giving thanks...

Today I am thankful for the home that Bob and I built.  Or should I say, the home that my dad built with us helping here and there;)  Katelyn and I were talking about what she is thankful for earlier today.  She said that she was thankful for Pap because he built our house.  I didn't realize she knew and remembered that.  So I called my dad then and told him how thankful we are of all the time and energy he put into building our house.  He was glad we called and said it made his day better. 
Maybe my New Year's resolution in 2012 will be to focus on all the good that people do and acknowledge those things to those people.  With all the sadness lately, I'm sure many people would appreciate knowing that they are appreciated.  So I guess I'm also thankful for Katelyn and her random thoughtfulness:)
