Day 19 of giving thanks...

Today I am thankful for fun, relaxing days.  This morning Bob and I took the girls to the Greencastle parade.  Watching Chloe dance as every band marched by made it totally worth the numb toes I had by the end of the parade.  And Katelyn was good as gold.  She seemed to be mesmerized by all the different groups and festivities.
When we got home, I made lunch (scrambled eggs with mushrooms, toast, and fried potatoes...we love breakfast!) while Chloe napped.  I hated to do it, but woke her up so we could visit Santa at the Fort Louden Community Center.  Chloe was terrified of the sweet man, but Katelyn walked right up to him and handed him her Christmas list.  We watched the train display for a bit and talked with a friend.
Once we were home from the community center, the girls watched Tinker Bell and I made homemade apple sauce.  We then had dinner, the girls got baths, they played, and then I got them ready for bed.  Right now Katelyn is in her room playing.  So it wasn't the most exciting day, but I think that's what made it such a great day.  Just hanging out, not much of a schedule (except for getting to the parade on time), doing whatever we wanted.  I love days like today!
