Maybe someday I'll laugh...

Ugh...one of the grossest things that a person could possibly touch and my Katelyn found it outside....
After dinner tonight, Katelyn, Chloe, and I took a walk down the road because it was just perfect weather. We threw some rocks and sticks over the little bank at the end of the cul-de-sac and walked in the mud. Chloe climbed up the slide with help and slid down (again with help!). We ran around the front yard for a few minutes and checked out all the green stuff growing. Then Katelyn walks further down the yard, closer to the stop sign, and yells to me, "Mommy, I found a balloon!" I said, "Huh, I wonder how a balloon got down here?" I then told Katelyn we'd take it inside to throw it away. I did not look at it before telling her this so when she picked it up and showed it me, I just about had a heart attack and vomited all at once. Can you guess what the 'balloon' was?
I immediately yelled, "Put it down!!!! Oh, my gosh, that's so gross! Run, run inside and scrub your hands! Don't touch anything!!!"
Katelyn wanted to know what it was so I just said it's something really gross with lots of nasty germs.
She scrubbed for about 5 minutes straight.
I think I might have nightmares tonight!
