Scared of the dark??

Katelyn has my over active imagination, unfortunately. Tonight she cried herself asleep because she was scared of the orange eyes looking at her (ceiling fan lights). I tried turning on the light and that made her mad. I turned out the lights and she cried/screamed because she was scared. She likes it when I lay with her until she falls asleep, but I'm afraid that's going to turn into a bad habit. I need that time at night to blog, do laundry, eat, email, write out bills, eat, watch tv, eat...All the things I don't have time for during the day. She has a night light so I'm not sure what else to do...??
