I wish I could be invisible for a few minutes every day, just so I could observe Katelyn and Chloe, without me there distracting them from their play. I would also love to know exactly what their little minds are thinking about throughout the day. I have a pretty good idea what Katelyn is thinking, most of the time, as she talks most of the day. But like the moment earlier when she was staring at the night light, what was she thinking about? My guess?....how to postpone bedtime even later tomorrow night:)

Late night observation
It's 10:20 pm and I just checked on Chloe and Katelyn. Chloe is sleeping on her back, face to the side, peaceful as one can be, with her binky and blanket, country music playing in the background. Katelyn, on the the had, is out of bed, playing with her Barbie convertible car on the floor. I watched for a couple of minutes from the hallway, as quietly as possible. She pushed the car over to her nightlight so that she could fix something on it, I think maybe the side mirror. I heard her talking quietly to herself and then she just sat there quietly, staring at the light. Of course, she can't be quiet for too long, it's just not her nature, so she turned around, talked to her dolls a little, and pushed the car back to the Barbie house.
