Happy Half Year to my Chloe Bear!

Busy ball fun!

6 Month Stats:

Chloe is developing such a little personality already. I'm blown away by how much she is doing and growing every day.

• Waves her little hand by opening and closing her hand and bending her wrist. So cute!
• Grabs EVERYTHING within reach of those cute little hands (hair, noses, skin, paper, books, food, etc.)
• Sleeps in her crib during all her naps and all night until early morning and then sleeps about 2 hours in the pack -n- play in my room. She takes 2-4 naps a day, each one ranging from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Usually in bed for the night by 9:00pm and awake for the day by 8:30 am.
• Giggles at funny noises and faces that people make, mainly Katelyn. If Katelyn is too loud, Chloe cries/screams to get her to back off.
• Speaking of screaming, she has this banshee-like yell/scream that she does sometimes for no reason, other times because she's bored/mad/frustrated. I really must videotape this crazy sound, it's kind of funny to hear a tiny little body produce such a loud noise.
• When we go outside, I no longer put her in her carrier/stroller. She likes to face forward in her umbrella stroller and kick those chunky little legs.
• Almost immediately after laying Chloe down on a blanket, she rolls over to her belly and plays with toys by touching/feeling them.
• Says goo and gaa, and occasionally mummum
• Can hold her binky, take/throw it out, and every once in awhile, get it back into her mouth
• Weighs 16 pounds, 4 ounces as of July 20th.
• Mostly wearing 9 month clothes, except sleepers are 12 months.
• Can sit up by herself for a few seconds before toppling over on her side or onto her face...poor thing!
• Likes to put all her weight on her legs to stand, does NOT like to sit.
• Has her 2 bottom teeth and has bit me a couple of times in not so nice places
• Has eaten rice cereal, oatmeal, apples, bananas, peas (loves!), sweet potatoes, peaches (dislikes!), pears...doing much better with swallowing
• Stranger anxiety has set in...if I'm not around or within sight, she starts to pout or cry when she doesn't know the person holding her. ie. at Dr. Madeira's office, his wife sat in the waiting room with Chloe and Katelyn and after 3 minutes, I heard Chloe wailing. She, of course, stopped as soon as she saw me. She also did this for Bob one day, sobbed hysterically until I held and calmed her down.
• Chews on EVERYTHING she gets in her hands!
• Has not used her swing in about 3 weeks so I guess it's about time to take it down and put it away.
• Takes a bath in her little bathtub without the sling. I put the bathtub in Katelyn's big tub so they 'bath' together. She kicks and squeals with delight the whole time!
