Just an ordinary day

A friend of mine sent me the link to a video about a mother who learned about the 'gift of an ordinary day'. Here's the link:http://www.katrinakenison.com/ It may be just another rainy day stuck in the house today, but someday I'm going to wonder what we did to keep busy. I didn't take pictures today so I think tomorrow I'll do a post of what our ordinary day looks like.

8:20 am Daddy woke up and realized that Mommy was still sleeping so he got Katelyn up for school.

8:40 am Katelyn brushed her teeth and got dressed for preschool/Chloe woke up, cooing and squealing which woke up Mommy

8:45 am Daddy drove Katelyn to preschool in his Jeep/Mommy fed Chloe

9:00 am Daddy dropped Katelyn off at preschool and then drove home/Mommy changed Chloe's diaper

9:15 am Mommy ate a bowl of Kashi cereal and read the Sunday paper while Chloe sat in her bouncy seat and Daddy started doing his homework

9:30 am Mommy put the bed sheets in the washer

9:45 am Mommy put Chloe in the bassinet to sleep and then put clothes and other miscellaneous things away from the birthday party the night before

10:30 am Mommy got a shower/Daddy's still doing homework

11:00 am Chloe woke up from her nap/Mommy changed her diaper and dressed her for the day

11:15 am Daddy left to pick up Katelyn/Mommy put sheets in the dryer and towels in the washer

11:20 am Mommy fed Chloe and talked to Mamma on the phone

11:45 am Mommy played with Chloe and talked to Katelyn about her morning/Daddy played with Katelyn

Noon Mommy, Daddy, and Katelyn ate lunch (chicken salad sandwiches, chips, pretzels, dip, tomatoes, carrots, cheese) while Chloe played in her bouncy seat

12:15 Mommy and Daddy ate coffee ice cream cake made by Mommy for Daddy's birthday last week

12:30 Katelyn watched Dora/Daddy on the internet/Mommy put Chloe in the swing to sleep, but every couple of minutes, she screamed so Mommy got her. Mommy also put towels in the dryer and took sheets to the bedrooms.

1:10 Daddy got his dinner put together and himself ready for work

1:20 Daddy left/Mommy put sheets on the bed

1:30 Katelyn and Mommy played with Chloe

2:00 Mommy fed Chloe/Katelyn played

2:30 Mommy put Chloe in the swing to sleep again and she finally fell asleep/Mommy cleaned the master bathroom and put Daddy's work clothes in the washer/Katelyn played

3:00 Mommy vacuumed the new living room, kitchen, and foyer/Katelyn played in her room

3:30 Mommy and Katelyn watched a video on the internet about a mother's memory of her children as they grew up and then left the nest. Mommy also interviewed Katelyn about Mommy and Daddy and then posted it on the blog.

4:45 Katelyn played games on the internet/Mommy folded towels, put clothes in the dryer, checked on Chloe again, tried to figure out what to eat for dinner, looked in the pantry to see what's there, and looked at Katelyn's book order form.

5:40 Katelyn and Mommy did workbook pages dealing with 'same' and 'different'. Mommy showed Katelyn how to make an 'N' (up, down, up) and how to write Chloe's name.

6:00 Katelyn and Mommy ate dinner; Katelyn had a cheeseburger hot pocket, tomatoes, corn; Mommy had Taquitos, corn, green beans, and pineapple

6:45 Mommy put away clean dishes and put dirty dishes in the dishwasher/Katelyn looked for more food to eat, but decided she wasn't hungry (hungee as Katelyn says it) anymore.

7:00 Katelyn sat with Mommy at the computer while she wrote this and then got bored and played instead.

7:15 Katelyn checked on Chloe and she was awake. Mommy changed her diaper, fed, and burped her. Mommy made hot chocolate for Katelyn and herself.

8:00 Bathtime for Katelyn and Chloe

8:30 Brushed Katelyn's teeth, put pj's on, combed hair, read stories, put Chloe in her room in her bouncy seat to go to sleep, and then told Katelyn a story about a farmer, a dog, a little girl, and the 3 bears, told Katelyn that we're going roller skating in the morning and then gave magic kisses

9:30 Mommy emailed MOMS club and found a cute gift idea for Mrs. Berkey
