My conversation with Katelyn today while driving to the Princess play:

Sitting at the red light on Rt. 30 beside the Jeep/Dodge dealership, Katelyn says: "Hey, that word says Daddy's Jeep."

Me: "Oh? What color are the letters?" (just to see if she really recognized the word)

Katelyn: "White?" (The letters were a pale green)

Me, as we're driving away from the dealership: "No. Okay, tell me the letters you saw."

Katelyn: "J-E-E-P, that spells Jeep, just like Daddy has."

Me: "Wow, you just spelled and read Jeep!!"

Katelyn spelled Jeep again and then said, "My Jeep doesn't have those letters. It doesn't say Jeep."

I am so shocked and thrilled that my little 3 year old can read a word and actually WANTS to read. How awesome is that??!!
