Awesome Mother's Day!!
Bob just couldn't contain himself so on Friday I actually got my Mother's Day gifts from him. Drum roll please....American Idol Live Tour tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been following this season's contestants since Day 1. I am so excited to see all these great singers in person. We saw American Idol in 2005 in Pittsburgh, but the seats weren't the greatest so this year when we go we'll be on the floor!!! Aug. 4th can't get here fast enough! Oh, and I also got a roll out trash can which is very exciting too....Thanks honey:)
Anyway, I started my day off with Katelyn crawling in bed with us and sleeping an extra 30 minutes before yelling for hot chocolate. I can't sleep when she's in bed with me so I spent that time watching her and thinking about how much I love her and being a mom.
I wanted to take Katelyn to church with me, but she still wasn't feeling well so I went by myself. The service was about the power of a woman. I'm noticing I feel more at peace and happier after being at church, especially after today.( That's a whole other topic though) After church and lunch, we visited my mom and Andrew. My gift to my mom this year is a pedicure and lunch together, just the 2 of us. We spend a lot of time together, but Katelyn is always with us so it'll be nice spending some one on one time with my mom.
Next we headed to Gettysburg and drove around the battlefields (by accident...we were trying to get to Little Round Top and finally managed to get there 15 minutes later) For dinner we went to Friendly's. Yum!!! It's been ages since I've been to Friendly's. The ice cream was just as good as I remember!
We ended our day by taking a different route to Bob Sr.'s house. Danielle and Karl were there too and a little later, Dorothy. Of course we watched "Cars" and PaPa decided that it would be a good idea to take the movie home. Hmmm...we'll see!
I'll post pictures of our day tomorrow.

I really need to get caught up on all these birthday pictures, so here's a few more of the birthday girl!
My mom and dad bought her a new table and chair set for their house and a new doll. She loves to color and make things out of playdoh so this is perfect!
Jumping on her bed even though she knows she's not allowed to...
She tried her hardest to blow out those candles! I had to help just a bit:)
I know we got her a swingset and that should have been enough, but we couldn't resist just a couple more gifts:)
