I may not look excited about seeing the Liberty Bell, but really, I was!
Katelyn was doing cartwheels in the grass because she had seen another little girl doing cartwheels. Monkey see, monkey do.
We went to the Philadelphia Mint and while in there, it started to down pour! We thought maybe it would slow down after a few minutes, but after waiting for 20 minutes in the lobby of the Mint, we broke down and bought 'beautiful' ponchos. Yes, just lovely. It was getting close to dinner time so where else do you eat in Philadelphia, home of the Philly cheesesteak? Subway, of course! Not my first choice, but it was closest restaurant and I just wanted to get out of the rain.
After all that fun, we headed home, only to get stuck in rush hour traffic on a Friday afternoon. So to entertain ourselves, here are the many moods of Katelyn...
Crazy
Ecstatic
Angry
Sad
Thoughtful
Surprised
Smushed up face
Distorted
Get me out of this van!
As if our trip wasn't exciting enough, while on the PA Turnpike, the gas light came on. When we got off the Carlisle exit, this is how much gas was left in the van. That's equivalent to about 1/2 a gallon.
