I love this girl more and more each day. Her personality is really starting to come out now. I have a feeling she's going to be quite the class clown someday:)
- Haha, as you can see from these pictures, she loves to make faces and get a laugh from others. Her favorite faces to make are the squinty eyes and snooty face. Cracks me up every time!
- Run, run, as fast as you can...that would be Chloe's motto right now. I'm constantly reminding her to walk, especially when we're outside. I've caught her quite a few times just before she does a face plant into the dirt or stones.
- Chloe is Katelyn's little parrot and shadow...whatever Katelyn says or does, Chloe is right behind her, imitating it all. Which includes, but not limited to, spitting, yelling, throwing, screaming, running, jumping, dancing, crying, splashing, laughing, and eating.
- Chloe's favorite words as of today are mine, sit, stop, and bye bye. Anytime she is playing with someone, whether it's a child or adult, she pulls the toy that's in her hand towards her, yelling mine! When it's time to nap or go to sleep for the night, she tells me to sit (in her rocking chair) or anytime she sees a chair, she tries to climb on it to sit. Whenever someone is too close to her or she's mad, she puts her hand out and says, "stop!" (sounds like 'bock'). When we go to the store, she says 'bye bye' to everyone she sees and waves. So cute:)
- Chloe has always slept with us off and on since she was born, but lately, she's been waking up and crying at least 4 times a week, pointing to my room until I take her there. I'm so stinking tired at 2am that I just bring her to bed with me. Unfortunately, that means I sleep very lightly. It usually takes at least two attempts to get her back to her bed and that is only after she's slept with me for a minimum of 2 hours. If I didn't worry so much about her being smothered, I'd be fine with her sleeping with us. I'm hoping she breaks herself of this habit so I don't have to be the bad guy:(
- I can't remember how long Chloe has been feeding herself using a spoon. She's pretty good at getting 90% of the food to her mouth, not the bib. Here's a list of the foods she can eat using a spoon: applesauce, mixed veggies, yogurt, pudding, rice, and tomato soup with lots of crackers.
- One of the funniest things she does is lay down on the floor, flat on her back and then reach her arms up high, yelling "HELP" until someone comes to pull her up. Must record that!
- Another funny thing is something Katelyn taught her. Katelyn has been spending most of her days as a dog. She barks, whines, sniffs, pants, crawls, sometimes eat, just like a dog. She even has a leash (the Rapunzel hair from her party) that she puts on herself so that I can take her for a walk. Yes, very fun....Anyway, now Chloe has started crawling on all fours like a dog and panting with her tongue hanging out. Again, must record!
- Chloe is still going through a 'Mommy phase'. She cries every time I leave if she isn't distracted by something fun. She constantly tries to climb my legs so that I'll pick her up. After playing for a few minutes, she calls "MAMA" until I check on her or she finds me (that sounds like I'm hiding...most of the time, I'm not!)
- I started having our neighbor girl come to the house as a 'mother's helper' for a couple of hours once a week so that I can get a few things done around the house (such as go through the mountain of paperwork that was hiding my desk). Chloe seems to really like her and never cries when I 'disappear'.
- Chloe's favorite toys right now are Little People, especially the farm, Katelyn's dress up jewelry, hats, shoes, Playdoh, and dirt:)
- Height: 32 inches Weight: 24 pounds Clothing size: mostly 18 months, a few things are 24 months Still wearing a size 3 diaper, but it's getting snug
