One more year...

I have been so excited all summer about Katelyn going to preschool in the fall for 3 days a week this year and even more excited knowing that next fall she'll be in Kindergarten. And then, bam! Like 8 of my friends sent their kids off to Kindergarten today and posted pictures and their feelings about it on Facebook, and now I'm about to bawl my eyes out because I "only" have a year left with her being home with me most of the time.

One more year...to watch cartoons together in the morning...eat lunch together...answer her millions of questions all day....watch her and Chloe play together while I do housework...take her to all the MOMS club events...go to the library when Bob leaves for work...have her wake me up and we lazily get ready for day...and so on and so on...

So from this day on, when I feel frustrated about something Katelyn is doing or saying...I'll remember that our seemingly endless days together won't be forever...and then I'll take a deep breath, pull my baby girl in my arms, and give her hugs and kisses.
