After I turn the lights out at night, I rub Katelyn's back for a minute, kiss her good night and then tell her I'll come back to check on her. She usually yells for me for about 30 seconds and then falls asleep maybe 10-15 minutes later. Not tonight, though. I heard her crying for me so of course, I checked on her and asked her what was wrong. Her response, "You hurt my feelings b/c you didn't read me 2 stories and that makes my feelings hurt!" Actually, I read her 4 stories, but how do you explain that concept when she doesn't understand? So because I felt bad, I let her tell me a story about a monster family who came to check on her and the baby monster cried and cried b/c he wanted his mommy. Wow, does she know how to get sympathy or what?
