Drumroll please....
Katelyn has decided the name of the lamb is Keesha. No idea where she got the name from. Usually she just makes up words when I ask her to name things, like stuffed animals. I think we'll go visit Beverly and the little lamb on Wednesday so Katelyn can see her.
Other exciting news, I made my first ever carrot cake from scratch, real carrots, raisins, icing, start to finish. Must be good because Dad ate 4 nice size pieces (throwing in nice size for Bob!hehe) The only tedious part was peeling and grating the carrots. Katelyn, for the first time, had no interest in helping me. Usually she's right there, dumping eggs and flour for me. She was busy painting with watercolors, I guess.
After seeing 4 tulips and a daffodil start growing outside this weekend, I decided to have Katelyn make a collage of flowers that we found in magazines. I gave her a glue stick, the pictures, and a piece of orange construction paper, and she did the rest. *Sigh* She's really becoming an independent little girl.
The past week or so she's been wanting to play role reversal where I'm KK and she's Mommy. It's really cute how she'll send me off to play while she "makes dinner" or says "now KK don't do that" in such a grownup bossy voice! When I wanted to find the pictures of flowers in the magazines, she told me "not now, I'm busy, we do it later".
