Graham cracker houses

Let me start off by saying that the girls have always made those pre-made gingerbread houses that you buy at the store.  In my opinion, the icing is sticky and gross, and the candy is hard, sometimes chewy, and disgusting, so the house is inedible by the end of our activity. This year I thought it would be better to make our own yummy houses.
We used fresh sugary gummies from Sunnyway, real gingerbread cookies also from Sunnyway, homemade butter cream icing, and UnREAL chocolate candy.  For the house, we used graham crackers.  Sounds yummy, right?
 And looks way cooler!
The girls seemed to be having a great time decorating their houses, and eating almost an entire baggie full of icing.  Then after we were done, they asked, "So when are we going to make a REAL gingerbread house?"
Sigh...
At least I tried.
