I am so impressed with all the stuff that my little Chloe is doing already. I'm sure she's right on target for her age and all, but I still think she's a super baby:)
For the past few days, she's been standing up from a sitting position without holding onto anything...well, unless you count the buckets and toys she's picking up as she's standing. So cute to watch her and see the amazement on her face as she does it.
The other big thing she is doing is talking and imitating. So far she says without any prompting:
Mama
Dada
Yum-yum
go (but I don't think she has any idea what it means)
Words that she is imitating:
zip
all done (and signs it!!!)
oh no
uh-oh
Not sure if I should be overly excited though. Early speech also means lots of talking as she gets older. I know that from personal experience with Katelyn who has a never ending list of questions.
And that reminds me...tonight at dinner she asked, "Mommy, is Santa real?"
Me, "Of course! Why would you ask that?" (panicking inside!)
Katelyn, "well, I thought maybe all the elves made the gifts and then gave them to the kids." Me, thinking 'phew...that was a close one!'
