Today was Katelyn's first trip to the dentist. I was really worried about how she would react to the dentist messing with her teeth. When she brushes her teeth at home, it's torture, mainly for me and Bob. She wants to make faces at herself and do everything except brush her teeth. It takes at least 5 minutes from start to finish and usually ends with her crying or me totally frustrated.
Anyway, she did fantastic today!!! I was so proud of her. She didn't even flinch when Dr. Wennick brushed her teeth with the spinning brush. She thought it was cool and even told the doctor that she has one at home like his. He also put fluoride on her teeth and she sat there with her mouth hanging open until the assistant told her she could spit. She was super excited to get a new toothbrush and had to use it tonight instead of her SpongeBob toothbrush.
