Two very exciting things....
Yesterday I noticed that the binky that Chloe was using had a small hole in it:( I let her play with it at naptime and she ended up falling asleep with it in her mouth. I was paranoid the whole time she was sleeping that she would somehow bite it to pieces and choke! So I spent the evening then trying to find the other binky that I knew she had. My mom had watched the girls over the weekend and the binky went missing at some point. After searching everywhere imaginable in the house, no binky was found. Chloe attempted to fall asleep without it, but just couldn't on her own. I took her to my bed until she fell asleep. Luckily, she then slept all night. I worried about what would happen tonight all day long, thinking that she'll be in my bed forever now. Nope, not the case. My binky-loving Chloe who always has a binky in her mouth and screams for it all day long fell asleep tonight all on her own. She didn't mention her binky all day! So there you have it, folks...just like that, no more binky!
The other exciting news was found out at bed time tonight when Katelyn and I were talking about her day. I asked her if Mrs. M was still reading Magic Tree House books. Katelyn said that she is reading the 4th book in the series and that she is reading #16. I asked her what she meant exactly, only to find out that my little Katelyn is reading chapter books by herself during free time! I'm so proud, I could cry. I can't believe that I didn't know that she was capable of reading chapter books. Little stinker was holding out on me!
