Questions and Kindergarten

Katelyn has always been and will always be, a very curious child, to say the least.  She must ask at least 1000 questions a day.  Basically, everything that comes out of her mouth is a question.  A few examples from the past day or so....

If the world goes upside down, why don't we fall off? I tried to explain gravity...not sure she got it
Why did God make knots in my hair?  God did not give you knots, you did it yourself
What are we doing in the morning? (last question of the night, every night for the past 2 years)  play, go somewhere, eat lunch, play, maybe go somewhere, eat dinner, play outside, go to bed
Why did God make thunder? Because the lightening is so hot.
How do you make water? God makes water, not me.
How do you make tomatoes? Tomatoes grow from a plant, go look in our garden.
What are those wires on the side of the road? Telephone wires
When does Kindergarten start?  2 1/2 weeks  How many days is that?  18 days

So during our nightly talk before she goes to sleep tonight, I asked her, "What do you think you'll do in Kindergarten?"  Play, recess, free play  What else?  learn to read  She's going to be quite surprised to see all she'll do during her days in Kindergarten.

Oh, yeah, thinking of Kindergarten...we got her letter from the school with her bus number (62) and pick up time (7:17am...gone are the days of sleeping in*sigh*).  She'll be riding the same bus as a friend of hers from MOMS Club that she really likes.  And I can't remember if I blogged about this or not...thinking not....Katelyn's teacher will be one of my close friends, Mrs. Bistline!  I'm super excited!  I definitely plan on volunteering in the classroom as much as I can.  What's neat about that?  Mrs. Bistline teaches in the room that I taught in the year I was pregnant with Katelyn.  How cool is that?

Realizing who Mrs. Bistline is:)
