- At Chloe's wellness check on May 17th, she weighed 21 lbs and is 31 inches (20th percentile for weight, 80th percentile for height). We had a new nurse practitioner named Kathy and a new doctor who can't remember her name. Kathy told Bob and I that we're doing a good job and it's nice to have clean, well taken care of kids in for a visit.
- Chloe will climb on anything that she can get her legs up on, such as the couch, ottoman, small chairs, etc.
- She is quite the expressive little gal. Some of her new words are bubble, water, banana, byebye, Papa, Mamma, go, out, down, eat, flower, pop, cereal, waffle. If you ask her a yes/no question, she will tell you no and shake her head if that's what she means. To tell us yes, she reaches for whatever it is we're asking about.
- When Katelyn picks on Chloe, Chloe now fights back by squealing and pulling on whatever it is that Katelyn is taking from her. Sometimes she hits Katelyn. So far no biting or punching.
- Chloe knows what to do if you tell it's time to eat. She goes to the cereal cabinet, grabs a box of cereal, takes it to her highchair, and stands on the bar at the bottom of the highchair until someone picks her up.
- She seems to understand a lot of what I say to her. If I ask, "where's your shoes?", she will find her shoes, bring them to me, and sit down with her feet outstretched. She also knows where to find her blanky, usually in the crib.
- Chloe SEEMS to be a picky eater, but really, all she wants you to do is give her a chunk of whatever you're eating. For example, I didn't think she liked ring bologna until one day I was eating a piece and she pointed and grunted. So I gave her a whole piece and she ate the whole thing. When she really wants to eat something that I have, she chomps her teeth together!
- Chloe is trying very hard to keep up with big sister so she now runs everywhere, just like Katelyn *sigh*. I was hoping this one wouldn't have quite as much energy as the big one.
- Scrunching up her nose and making silly faces is a favorite past time:)
- Chloe has a bedtime of 8:00pm, sleeps til about 8am, and takes a nap in the early afternoon for anywhere from an hour to three hours, if I'm lucky.
