So anyway, I was going to post some pictures of Chloe, but I've got some stupid virus again on my computer that won't let me download ANYTHING...GRRR!
Hopefully pictures will be uploaded tomorrow using my laptop.
Chloe at 15 months...
- Have I mentioned how much this girl LOVES to eat? I just want to make sure I've made it crystal clear...put food (or anything that resembles food, such as mud) and she WILL eat it or at least taste it. When my mom asked me what she should get her for Easter, my answer was food, food, and more food:) You would think Chloe would be a ginormous kid, but nope, she is like a string bean, tall and skinny (with just a little bit of toddler gut). She weighs in at a whopping 21 1/2 pounds. She will not stand at her growth chart so I have no idea how tall she is. She has a 15 month wellness check in 2 weeks so we'll find out then.
- Chloe is still parroting everything that I say to her. She's even trying to say 'happy birthday'. We've been practicing it for Katelyn's birthday on Thursday. On Easter, she got a scratch and repeated "got boo boo". She sounds so cute trying to mimic me or Bob or Katelyn. She tries to say Katelyn (KK), but it comes out more like dada. Other words she can say (imitate)...more, chicken, egg, baby, cheek,
- She gives kisses and hugs when she's in the mood. She loves her baby dolls and is usually carrying one through the house. I think she sleeps with at least three baby dolls in her crib.
- She is 100% weaned from nursing and drinks about one cup of chocolate milk and one cup of apple juice everyday. Sometimes I get the feeling that she senses something is different/changed. I miss our bonding time. Now she's gotten into the habit of spending about 2 hours every night in bed with me. I feel bad sending her back to her crib when I know my warm arms are where she's happiest.
- When I say cheese, Chloe repeats it and gives a cheesy smile. She also tries to do peek a boo by putting her hands on her head. She's still figuring out where her eyes are. She also knows where her feet are and giggles when I tickle them.
- She loves being in Katelyn's room. If she leaves a room, it's a sure bet that she's gone to play in Katelyn's room or sit in the rocking chair in there. She's really good about not putting any of Katelyn's little toys in her mouth, but I still worry about her choking so I don't let her back there alone.
- Outside is her second favorite place to be. She stands at the garage and hits it when anyone says 'outside'. She likes to roam all over the yard, especially by the road for some reason. We normally stay in the backyard. She goes in and out of the playhouse with the outdoor toys, walks onto the porch, tries to walk off the porch (it's a 2 feet drop at one point), picks up rocks to carry around, plays with the water in the kid picnic table, colors with chalk (or attempts to eat it), plays in the sand (and eats it), and looks/walks on my flowers.
- She's wearing all 18 month clothing, size 5 shoes, and size 3 diapers.
- She enjoys looking at books and having them read to her. She can sit through at least two books at bedtime, sometimes three if she's not too tired.
- She goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 and gets up for the day around 8am. Every once in a while she sleeps through the night, but not recently due to having another cold.
- She likes to think she's brushing her teeth, but really, she just chews on her toothbrush. She will not let me hold the toothbrush. She shakes her head, cries, kicks. Not a fun task, so I've kind of given up for now. Maybe I need to try giving her a toothbrush while I use a different one.
- Chloe loves chocolate...I have no idea how that happened;)
- Katelyn and Chloe actually play together for a few minutes at a time. They are so cute to watch. The other night Katelyn was laying down on her back. Chloe walked over Katelyn's legs, laughing hysterically as she's falling down. Katelyn thought it was pretty hilarious too so that game went on for at least 5 minutes. They also tried to do Ring Around a Rosie. Chloe just wanted to fall down, but again, they were laughing the whole time.
- If music is playing, Chloe shakes her little booty and "sings" along (sometimes). Maybe Katelyn and Chloe will be a singing duet someday:)
