Chloe's one year stats

Again, I'm late with updating all the doings of my baby girl. But to be fair, we just had a very busy weekend. That party wiped me out! So let's see, what's new?
  • Chloe had her one year wellness check today. Dr. Klink is now gone from Norland Family Practice to pursue other areas of health and well being. So our 'new' doctor is actually PA Phil Myers, who has been there as long as Dr. Klink and is really great with kids. Anyway, Chloe weighs in at 19 lbs, 9 oz. (25th percentile) and 30 inches long (75th percentile). So basically, she's a string bean, just like Katelyn. She was a very brave little girl when they gave her three shots. Only cried for a few seconds:(
  • Yay for still nursing! Usually 2-3 times during the day and 3-4 times thru the night. I just don't have the heart to let her cry it out so the easiest and nicest way to help her get back to sleep is to give her some milky:)
  • The big question...walking by one year?? Nope, almost, but not quite. Chloe can take about 4 steps by herself before falling to her knees. She does really well if you hold her hands, though. She's still doing crab crawl or gorilla walk (whatever you want to call it). She's able to stand alone for a good minute and cruises furniture, people, walls, chairs, etc. Climbing is going to be a big problem. She loves to do it, but she has no awareness of heights yet. She thinks it's funny if she falls off stuff (that is, when I'm helping her get down).
  • She doesn't seem to have a favorite toy yet. She has her blanky that she will not go to sleep without, but during the day, she goes from one toy to the next. Her favorite room to be in is Katelyn's. Anytime she's set free on the floor, she takes off to Katelyn's room to get into the Barbie stuff.
  • Chloe now participates in the bedtime routine every night. She and Katelyn get their baths together, then pj's, brush teeth, read stories, and she usually nurses while I tell Katelyn a story.
  • I think Chloe loves food just as much as me. Yay! She eats EVERYTHING! Chicken fried rice, beef veggie soup, toasted cheese sandwiches, cheeseburgers, chicken strips, all fruits and veggies, that's just to name a few things that she's had to eat in the past week. I'm so glad she's not a picky eater (at least for now). She doesn't eat any baby food anymore. Won't have anything to do with it. That's fine, it's much easier to just give her whatever I've made.
  • Vocab list: Mama, Dada, oh no, uhoh, all done, heart
  • She's not repeating as many words as a few weeks ago, but I think she's putting all her brainpower into moving around. She nods and shakes her head now. Not sure if she knows what it means, but it's pretty cute:)
  • Clothing sizes-18 month sleepers, mainly 12 month outfits, a few 18 month outfits, size 3 diapers, 18 month onesies, size 3 shoe
  • Chloe is the master at imitating facial expressions. Today she was imitating Katelyn blowing. She also imitates winking/shutting her eyes, showing teeth, and wrinkling her forehead.
