What has Chloe discovered in the past month?

Getting the remote control is her biggest motivator to crawl

I guess it tastes good?!

But Mommy says it has a lot of germs....wahhhh!

She says, "I'll just get it again..."

And right to the mouth it goes...whatever makes her happy!

8 Month Stats

• Chloe is weighing in around 17 and 1/2 pounds and has grown an inch since last month to 28 inches. Her cute little feet actually are so little. They are about a size 2 or 3 already! And her clothes are size 12 months for the most part. A few 9 month outfits still fit, but probably not for long.
  
• She now has 6 teeth...4 on top, 2 on the bottom. She looks so ornery when she smiles now:)
• Just last week she figured out how to push herself to sitting and is getting stronger every day. Before she falls asleep, she sits up and plays in her crib. And then when she wakes up, she automatically sits up. The other morning I found her sleeping in a sitting position, face down. So cute!!
  
• She's definitely only days away from actually crawling. I HAVE to get my butt in gear with baby proofing!
• Eating baby food still isn't going as good as I'd like. She likes her food thick so I've been adding cereal to the runny ones, like pears and sweet potatoes. I bought over 30 jars of 2nd foods and have only used maybe half of them. I will not throw the food away! To think I thought I was being smart and saving money...hah! She would much rather be eating my food. Last night she stuck her hand in my salsa when I wasn't looking. Highly doubt that she'd like it, but I didn't give her a chance to try it. If I'm holding her while I'm eating, I have to sit sideways and move my plate as far from her reach as possible. One of these days, my plate and all the food will surely end up on the floor.
• We took our first family of four vacation to Ocean City, MD. Pictures still need to be posted and I'm working on that.
• Chloe spent her first night away from me:( Not going to reminisce about that horrible ordeal.
• She does not like it when you take something away from her, such as the remote control. She has a bit of a temper (probably from her Daddy) and cries as if someone broke her heart. Kinda funny:)
• Still nursing:) Usually during the day she goes about 3-4 hours between feedings and only 2-3 hours at night. I know it's more for comfort, but I don't like to hear my baby cry:(
• I took her Strollercizing at the YMCA last week. I'm pretty sure it's the first fun thing I've done with just her.
• No more bouncy seat or pack -n- play bassinet. Now that she can sit, it's too dangerous. I also had to lower the crib a bit in case she pulls herself up. Wouldn't want her to do a flip onto her head.
• Says ba, mamamamama and dadadadada, but not with meaning yet.
• Helps me take her shirt off by pulling it off her head. She's already got an independent streak in her!
• Must have a blanket to sleep. No particular one yet, but I usually give her one of the blankets that was made just for her from Jessie and BJ.
