For breakfast I made Katelyn made from scratch pancakes (mainly because I didn't have any Bisquick on hand) and chocolate milk. She had a tough time getting up at 6:30. I thought she'd bounce out of bed, but she didn't get any energy until we were ready to head out the door.
She looks so grown up in this picture.
As luck would have it, rain was falling as we were getting pictures.
I look a little tired...but so proud of my big girl:)
The bus doesn't pick her up at our house so we walk to the end of the road.
Waiting for the bus to come in the rain.
Big Yellow Bus #62
Her bookbag looks huge on her!
She didn't even wave:( She found her friend and was excited to be sitting on a bus...without a seat belt:)
To celebrate her first day of kindergarten, she requested a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. So that's what the little lady got.
Katelyn said she loved school. She didn't really talk to anyone. She knows she sits with 2 boys and one girl at the table. They read The Kissing Hand, just like we did the night before. She knows the rules for playing in centers, especially how many kids are allowed at each one. I think she's going to have a great year!
