Kindergarten Registration

Today was the big day for registering Katelyn for Kindergarten! She was super excited to see the big school and meet the teachers:)

This was also the same elementary school that I went to as a kid and taught Kindergarten the year I was pregnant with Katelyn. It was fun going back today as a parent. I even got to talk to some teacher friends from when I taught and subbed there.

Can you tell she is ready?! She's waving at us to come up the steps faster.

Sitting in the library, waiting for a kindergarten teacher to take her back to be assessed.

Family picture:)
Mrs. S (the teacher who assessed Katelyn) told us that she is well prepared for Kindergarten. More than likely, she will move up to level one of their reading program when school starts b/c she already knows so much:) That's my girl!

Hearing test...passed! She can't use the excuse of not being able to hear me anymore;)
I didn't get a picture at all the stations. She also met with the speech therapist and passed with flying colors. The only sound that may need a little work is the /sh/ sound.
At the end of the summer, we'll get a letter letting us know when the bus will be picking her up. I think I'm really getting excited for this next phase of her life! I didn't even shed one tear today!
