I'm not too happy about this month's photo session for turning 10 months old. First, when I wrote the '10' on Chloe's onesie, the paint came out as water at first so that is why you see a big fat blog of purple at the top of the one. Second, I could not get this child to stay still. I was extremely lucky to get the last shot of her. But that was only because she was stuck on the changing table.
So here's what the little munchkin is up to nowadays:
- FINALLY Chloe is sleeping better at night. She normally goes to sleep around 8pm, wakes around 11pm, 3am, 7am to eat, and then is up for the day around 8am. Some nights she actually sleeps for about 4 hours between feedings. I'm not complaining, though, because in just 2 months, I'll start weaning her.
- Tooth number 8 came in yesterday, on her 10 month birthday. I knew that 8th tooth was coming in any day. I could see it under her bottom gum. It's no wonder she's been chewing on every thing in sight, including her own arm. Ouch!
- Chloe is unstoppable now. When she wants something, she just goes for it. She's getting really fast at crawling. I cannot turn my back for a second. Normally she's going after something that will help her stand. She does not like to sit and play. She likes to stand at the play kitchen and throw all the toys off of it or she likes to stand at the toy box and throw all of the toys out of it. As you can imagine, I spend a lot my day just picking up after her.
- She has not figured out that if she moves her legs while standing, she'll be able to walk or cruise. Her legs are still wobbly and she seems to be unbalanced. Soon enough, probably by Christmas, she'll be chasing after Katelyn.
- Eating food is a favorite past time in the Boyce household, not only for me and Bob, but now for Chloe also. She loves picking up puffs and putting them in her mouth. And she looks so cute doing it, too! She loves all baby foods, the thicker the better. As mentioned in a previous post, she thinks anything that she can pick up and fit in her mouth is food such as foam circles and googly eyeballs.
- All of the clothes that she is wearing are 12 months. We have not moved up to 18 month sleepers yet. She's wearing a size 3 diaper. She doesn't seem to like shoes, but the couple of times I've made her wear them, I think the size is a 2.
- In the past month, she's watched 2 parades: Mercersburg's Halloween parade and Chambersburg's Christmas parade. She has sat on Santa's lap twice: at the Goldfish Barn and at the Fort Loudon Community Center.
- Last week we saw Dr. Klink for her 9 month wellness check. Her weight is 18 lbs 2 oz and her height is 28 inches. She is now in the 50th percentile. It was the last time that she'll see Dr. Klink:( He's leaving the practice to help others manage their weight. I did get a picture of Dr. Klink with Chloe so we'd never forget him. I'll have to post that once I figure out how to get the picture on the computer.
- Chloe has been suffering from a cold for the past 2 weeks. Every time I wipe her nose, she pushes me away, screams, and kicks. I feel awful doing it. I know her nose hurts, but I can't just let it run. Yuck!
- So will Chloe be walking by Christmas?? Hmmm...
