Three quarters of a year old already! Yikes, I need to get busy with planning this baby girl's 1st birthday party. I'd like to do an Abby Cadabby party, but she loves Elmo more. We'll see...
Anyway, here's all good stuff this little gal is doing these days:
- CRAWLING! Everywhere to be exact. She started out by doing the army crawl a couple of weeks ago and then rocking on all fours and then, about 10 days ago, she figured out that if she moved her arms AND legs, she'd get places faster. So yeah, I have to keep an eye on her at all times.
- Is she sleeping through the night yet? That's a big fat NO! Almost this entire month, she has been waking up every one to two hours. Why, you ask?
- Because the child has 7 ( seven!) teeth! And I think I felt another one coming in today. That is a lot of teeth for a little baby. She's got quite a bite, too, I might add. She has tried to take chunks out of my skin, I swear.
- On to more pleasant things...her hair is getting lighter and fuller. The curls are pretty much gone:( It's not stick straight, though, so I still have hope of having a curly haired kid.
- She says 'mamamama' when she's hungry or really mad about something (like being stuck in the highchair/exersaucer/carseat. She says 'dadadada' when she's playing or happy. Go figure...
- Her favorite toys....tv remotes, shoes, cups, bottles, paper, phones, Katelyn's toys, basically anything that she shouldn't have.
- Eating habits...still nursing:) about every 3-4 hours. She also eats about 2 jars of baby food a day. 'Real' food that she's had and liked-bread, apple pie, apple sauce, pumpkin cake, the inside of a french fry, peaches, bananas
- Three or four times this past month, she let me rock her back to sleep. I love holding a sleeping baby:) She loves her crib more, though. Except when she's not tired. Then she cries and throws her binky out which I'm sure she's smart to realize is the way to get me to come back to her.
- She's trying to pull up, but has only managed to get on her knees. It won't be long until she's cruising around the furniture.
- The clothes that she's wearing is all 12 months now. I think she's just about ready for 18 month sleepers. I'm really hoping she doesn't grow too much more over the next couple of months because I bought a bunch of summer clothes size 18 months.
- Dr. Klink won't be seeing her until the middle of November so I'll update her length and weight then.
