I'm a little late with my update, but hey, better late than never, right?
*I absolutely LOVE this picture! Chloe makes that face every time she laughs or gets excited and snorts at the same time. And Katelyn just looks so sweet and innocent:)
5 Months Old
What is Chloe Bear up to these days?
- At 4 1/2 months, she got a tooth on the bottom on the right side. And yes, she has already bit me...while nursing and on the finger.
- Immediately rolls to her belly when you lay her down on her back.
- Reaches for toys, holds them, and chews on them every chance she gets.
- Cries if I put her down and walk away.
- Still screams when she's tired or overstimulated.
- Sleeping in her crib for all her naps (unless she really needs a good, long nap~then I put her in the swing.) Sleeping in the crib for the beginning of the night and then around 1am I nurse her and then she sleeps in the pack-n-play the rest of the night.
- Drools constantly:)
- Spitting up has subsided a bit. Now it's only about 2-3 times a day rather than15!
- Eyes up food like my brother, Wally, so 2 weeks ago, I started giving her rice cereal. First mixed with breastmilk or formula and now mixed with apple juice.
- Loves taking baths and kicking those little chubby legs in the water. I just started bathing her without the sling attached. She seems to like it even more now.
- Takes 2-3 naps a day. One in the morning and usually 2 in the afternoon before going to bed around 8:30pm.
- Must have a blanket to fall asleep. She rolls to her side, holding the blanket up to her cheek and falls asleep almost instantly. I am constantly checking on her and when I know she's in a deep sleep, I take the blanket out of the crib.
- Pulls hair/jewelry/clothes, whatever she can get her hands on.
- Does not like to be in a seated position. She is much happier all stretched out.
- At the doctor's this month, she was 13 lbs. 5 oz. and 25 inches long. Tall and skinny, just like the rest of us.
- Waahhhh! She's losing all her baby hair:( She still has her curls, but the new hair is coming in blonde. Poor Bob, he really wanted Chloe to have dark hair, like him.
- Likes to watch tv, mainly cartoons, when Katelyn is watching them. I usually turn her away from the tv though so it only lasts about 2 minutes. I really don't want her to be a tv addict like her sister.
- Does not like when I put her in my SleepWrap. Not sure if it's the position, or what, but I'm hoping as she gets bigger, she'll like it more. She squirms so much that I can't get much done when holding her without her in the Wrap.
- Her legs and feet are always, always moving. They only stop when she's in the car seat or sleeping.
- Starting to reach for people. She reached for one of my friends a couple of weeks ago for the first time.
- Coos occasionally, no real sounds yet. I think Katelyn talks enough for both of them:) I'm working on mama as much as I can!
