Today Chloe is 4 months old! Here's the latest update on all she's been doing this month:
- Weighs about 14 pounds and is about 25.5 inches. Wellness checkup and shots are next week.
- Rolled over 3 times from belly to back. First 2 times I think she totally had no idea what she was doing. The third time was two days ago and she seemed to have more control and wasn't totally shocked to find herself on her back.
- Moves around on her activity mat. I placed her laying with her head to the left of the mat and about 3 minutes later, her head was to the right of the mat so almost a total circle.
- Screeches as loud as she can when she's not happy or ready for bed/nap.
- Sucks on her hand, my shoulder, her binky, the sling in her tub, her shirt, basically anything she can get her mouth on. So the drool has become a constant now!
- Grabs and bats at toys. Tries to control her hand movements. Yesterday and today she kept putting her right hand on her head like she was checking it out. She also grabbed her hair last week and screamed/cried b/c it hurt. I had to help her let go. It was so cute:)
- Wearing 6-9 month sleepers and almost out of 3-6 month clothing.
- Thinks Katelyn is hilarious! She laughs at Katelyn all the time, especially when Katelyn is making sounds that I think are too loud. So of course, Katelyn continues doing them b/c laughs are much more fun than getting yelled at:)
- The hair Chloe was born with is falling out:( Boo! She's got a nice bald spot in the back and I must find at least 20+ hairs everyday on her clothes. Really hoping that the hair grows back curly!
- Sleeping in the pack-n-play all of the time now with just a little elevation. She slept in her crib twice for short naps. I think it's too light in her room so we may need to figure out a way to darken it in there. She naps twice in the morning and 2-3 times during the afternoon. Always ready for bed by 8:30 pm every night. I love the routine she's in!
- Nursing about every 3 hours, even at night. Every once in a while she'll sleep 4-5 hours before needing to nurse.
- Smiles and giggles at me when I use silly voices and say 'mama'
- We put her in the Johnny Jump Up once. She just sat there and kicked her legs a little. Probably wait another week to try again.
- Does not fall asleep just anywhere anytime anymore:( Bummer! If she's tired enough, she'll fall asleep while I bounce and sway. I only do that at MOM's club events, otherwise we're home for her naps.
- Had her first fever Monday so I had to give her Infant Tylenol twice. She seems to be getting over the cold now with just a runny nose.
- When she lays on her back, she tries to lift her head to see what's going on around her.
