Weekend update

Happy Belated 4th of July!
It was quite a busy weekend for us. Saturday morning Danielle and I went to the annual Hagerstown Mile Long Yard Sale that we went to last year. I was disappointed that I didn't find more clothes for Katelyn like I did last time. All I got was a short sleeved short and 2 pairs of pants that will mainly be for play. I still have the rest of the summer and Labor Day weekend yard sales though so I won't stress too much. I'm just so cheap! Like today, the shirt Katelyn is wearing is covered in ketchup and if I had spent the $7or $8 that it would've been new, I'd be freaking out b/c I normally can't get ketchup stains out. But I got it for a buck a couple of weeks ago so if it becomes a play only shirt, no biggie in my mind.
ANYWAY:) I also got 2 plush dolls, Snow White and Prince Charming, 2 baskets, 6 Wild Animal books, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head set, green gel used for sunburns, and the best deal of all, 3 decorative trunks. I've been wanting a set forever, but never willing to pay $100 so $20 I couldn't pass them up.
The BEST find of all during the day was running into Liza, my childhood best friend that I lost contact with when I was 10 years old. I just happened to hear a lady with a German accent talking and then someone say her name. When I caught I glimpse of her, I knew right away that it was Liza's mom. So to make a long story short, we hugged, and laughed and cried a bit over the reunion and then her mom invited me, Katelyn, and my mom over for a picnic that night. We did end up going back later that evening for a couple of hours. It was a wonderful reunion! I look forward to seeing more of them since they live right in Hagerstown.
On Sunday, Bob and I had a cookout with both sides of the family. We had a good time, lots of yummy food. I finally played horse shoes for the first time ever with Danielle, BJ, and Veronica. BJ was really good, but the rest of us stunk! We'll just have to keep practicing.
