First sleepover

Wahhhhh!! Katelyn's at my parents' house having a sleepover tonight for the first time ever! I'm excited to have the house to myself, but it's so quiet, I'm not sure if I like it. For 3 years this house has been filled with baby sounds and then Katelyn talking ALL of the time and at night, lullaby music. I'm sure she'll do fine. She told me to "get out" when I told her I was leaving. Not a care at all:( I know it's good for her to be away from me. It had to happen sooner or later. At least when the baby is born, she'll be used to spending nights away from me.

Heehee! That's right! If anyone else is reading this, I'm finally ready to announce to the world that Bob and I are going to be parents again! Yay!!!!! 19 months of hoping and praying really paid off. Our little bean is due around Jan. 19th, 2010. Katelyn, of course, wants the baby out NOW. She says that she's going to rock the baby and feed the baby and play with the baby. It's funny how she'll remember out of the blue that "Mommy is having a baby and it's in her belly!" We had our first doctor's appointment today and took Katelyn with us so she could see the baby too. It was so cool to see the baby's head and body and the beginnings of arms and legs. I am so excited to feel the little kicks. That is by far the best thing about being pregnant.

Symptoms so far: nausea, fatigue, bloating, cravings, a desire to eat all day, a little cramping, and gas (as if you really want to know!)
